London-based Ning-competitor Webjam has secured a further $1.9 million (1.2M Euros) in funding led by initial investor I-Source. The A round extension won’t match Ning’s millions, but it will see Webjam execute some new functions, including allowing organisations to create branded online communities (the so-called B2B2C market). That’s slated for a full launch in September as a SaaS fee-paying version.

Meanwhile, you can check out their current pilot deals with groups in music education, learning, political parties, campaigns and publishers. Recently Webjam introduced profile badges which stream your most current activity, list your networks, and display friends.
